About Dr. Anderson
Practicing psychotherapy with adults, kids and families for over 25 years, Dr. David Anderson delivers his inspiring seminars and keynote presentations with all the passion and energy that has made him known to his players, clients, students, colleagues and audiences. David has devoted his entire professional life to serving kids, adults, and professionals who want to make a lasting impact on the people they serve.
David has appeared on radio shows, served as feature writer for a parenting magazine, given motivational talks to sports teams, presented at professional conferences and led retreats with his encouraging and insightful presentations on topics such as effective leadership, creating joy and energy at work, improving motivation in children and teenagers, coaching student athletes, TEAM character and performance, marriage enrichment, effective parenting, public service, and faith.
Dr. Anderson received his Bachelor’s degree in
Social Work and his Master’s degree in counseling from James
Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He received his
Doctor of Philosophy degree in counseling from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg,
Virginia. Dr. Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in
Georgia and Virginia. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dr.
Anderson served on the staff of Young Life for 10 years in
Roanoke, Virginia and served as the assistant dean of students
at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. He also worked for four
years as the Director of Child and Adolescent Services for
Advantage Behavioral Health Systems of Northeast Georgia. Dr.
Anderson also specializes in providing clinical supervision for
therapists pursuing licensure as professional
counselors.
Dr. Anderson has served students as a school counselor and high school football coach in northeast Georgia. He is the owner of ImpactingPeople, LLC. David, resides near Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Stuart, and has two sons, Ty and Walker, and a step-daughter, Elizabeth.
