A Message from Dr. Anderson
Dear Potential Client,
I understand that the decision to seek help for difficult life circumstances is hard. Finding the right professional to help is a daunting task. I have often said to my clients over the years that I see myself more like a "coach" than a therapist. What I mean is that people tell me what it is that they want to accomplish in therapy, and my role is to help them come up with a game plan for reaching their goals. I am here to clarify goals, provide feedback, equip, and encourage in the context of a safe, caring and meaningful counselor/client relationship. I have extensive experience treating challenges such as; depression, anxiety, marital conflict, behavioral problems in children and adolescents, substance abuse, school problems, and effective parenting.
Call today for an appointment if you are ready to make personal change.

Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is by far the most important part of the licensure process. Clinical supervision has a significant place throughout the professional career of a counselor. The primary focus of the supervision groups I conduct is to facilitate personal and professional growth among participants. Case studies, audio/visual tapes, collegial input and personal reflection are the main components of the clinical supervision experience. Gaining a high level of competence and confidence (regardless of your personal style or theoretical framework) as a counselor is ultimately the purpose of the clinical supervision experience.
As you will find through this website, I have practiced psychotherapy for over 25 years. I also bring experience as a school counselor and college professor teaching in the field of psychology. Feel free to contact me through my website if you are interested in starting the journey of clinical supervision.
